    The island has numerous waterfalls. These can cause strong currents in nearby pools. If swimming near a waterfall, wear a Personal Flotation Device.

  • Clothing
    Dressing is casual, including light summer wear for most of the year and a sweater for cooler evenings. Locals do not appreciate swimwear being worn on the streets of the capital city, Roseau, or in the villages. Dress respectfully

  • Flora/Fauna
    Do not pick wildflowers. They contribute to Dominica's Unspoiled beauty.

  • Photography
    Don’t take photos of people without their permission.

  • Store hours
    Many shops close midday – from 1 pm to 2 pm. Shops are closed on Sundays.
